Malayalam Community Radio Inc. was established by a group of volunteers with little or no radio experience. During the Pandemic, community radios play a key role all over the world to reach and inform communities in their local languages and help to manage the crisis. The South Asian community in London Ontario, especially the Indo-Dravidian / South Asian population decided to launch a Radio station since the health crisis unfolded, and there are no local channels that reflect, connect, or educate culturally sensitive programs or fulfill the community’s need to seek information in their language.
